Cutover Manager is required to join a leading Utilities client to deliver an Enterprise Industry Programme initiative.

As the Cutover Manager, you will leverage your exceptional track record in managing cutover activities at scale, ideally with a background in Technical Project Management. You will collaborate across technical teams, suppliers to create a meticulously sequenced, hour-by-hour 'Run Book'.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and will challenge stakeholders to ensure completeness, proven timings, and clear identification of dependencies and risks.

This role requires the creation of an iterative dress rehearsal approach, utilizing dedicated environments for testing and leading mitigation efforts. You will ensure that support resources and requirements are well-understood and practiced, with a focus on testing 'unhappy path' scenarios during the run-in period.

Key Responsibilities for the Cutover Manager includes:

  • Collaborating across technical teams, suppliers to create a sequenced, hour-by-hour 'Run Book' for the cutover.
  • Challenging stakeholders to ensure completeness, proven timings, and clear identification of dependencies and risks.
  • Implementing an iterative dress rehearsal approach with dedicated environments for testing and leading mitigation efforts.
  • Ensuring support resources and requirements are well-understood and practiced, with a focus on testing 'unhappy path' scenarios.
  • Defining logistics required for a 'war room' or 'command centre' to run cutover activities and leading it, with Program Manager support.
  • Establishing clear and agreed go/no-go checkpoints, aligning decision-makers, stakeholders, calls, and criteria.
  • Engaging with Business Change to understand Hypercare process and needs, contributing to the Hypercare plan and providing support.

Required skills and experience for the Cutover Manager includes:

  • Proven track record in managing cutover activities at scale, preferably with a background in Technical Project Management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge stakeholders and ensure completeness and clarity in cutover plans.
  • Experience in creating and implementing dress rehearsal approaches, testing, and leading mitigation efforts.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on logistics planning for cutover activities.
  • Ability to establish clear go/no-go checkpoints and effectively engage with decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with Business Change teams and contributing to Hypercare planning and support.
  • Understanding of Industry programmes and implications on cutover activities within the Utilities sector.
