Piping Material Engineer (Contract)
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey Country: UK
 

Position: Piping Material Engineer

Location: Leatherhead Offices - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Duration: 6-month contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic Piping Materials Engineer to join a reputable organisation based in Leatherhead.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop deliverables including Piping Material Classes, Technical Specifications and Requisitions.
  • Create/amend technical specifications for new equipment scope, utilising expert inputs where applicable.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines as well as supporting disciplines.
  • Work individually or as part of a team in the home office and abroad.
  • Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
  • Adhere to the organisations WAY engineering standards and procedures as well as provide input to their development and enhancement.
  • Perform surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
  • Lead contract technical and project meetings
  • Resolution activities for multi-disciplinary technical issues and queries

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards (ASME B31.3, API, BS EN etc).
  • Working knowledge of PED 2014/68/EU
  • Technical knowledge of different Valves and Special Piping Items.
  • Package Responsible Engineer with experience working with valves.
  • Strong technical understanding of valves and project execution methodologies
  • Experience on large EPC projects.
  • Keen to knowledge share with Engineers located in Leatherhead and in other offices.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng) or Material Engineering Degree (BEng)
