The Role

I am currently partnered with a client who are a well-established utilities and energy organisation, seeking a Mechanical Design Project Engineer on a contractual basis. This position will play a pivotal role in planning and leading several project-based initiatives for the organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing projects in CHP, EFW, utilities, gas turbines, and HRSG's from inception to completion.
  • Utilizing programming experience, particularly with Primavera P6, to develop and maintain project schedules and track progress.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Implementing quality assurance processes to ensure projects meet regulatory standards and client specifications.
  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
  • Communicating project requirements, milestones, and updates effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience in project management, particularly in new platform implementations from a Business Process Management perspective.
  • Strong technical expertise in CHP, EFW, gas turbines, HRSG's, and utility systems.
  • Programming experience, preferably with Primavera P6.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive improvements in BPM capabilities and project efficiency.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
