Accounts Assistant Manager (Permanent)

Location: Nottingham Country: UK Rate: £30k - £40k
 

Devonshire Hayes have partnered with one of the UK's top 15 Accountancy organisations to help them secure an Accounts Assistant Manager. You will be assisting the Managers and Directors with reviewing and finalising accounts preparations, management accounts and VAT returns as well as providing training and support to junior members of the team.

Hybrid - 2 - 3 days per week on-site

You will be tasked with the following:

  • Review an accounts working file and associated tax computations.
  • Produce an accounts summary and a list of discussion points for the manager or partner.
  • You will be expected to supervise and help develop more junior members of staff.
  • You will be expected to contact clients in connection with non-technical issues such as the collection of debtors and be involved on an ongoing basis in administrative activities such as billing.
  • You will be expected to plan and control your professional work for the firm's clients within the firm's standard procedures. You will be able to identify basic planning opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with proven practice experience (QBE will be considered)
  • Experience using IRIS and MyWorkPapers is preferred but is not essential.
  • Managing client assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
