Payments Business Analyst (B2B) 1 Years Extendable Contract Inside IR-35 (Contract)
Location: Hybrid Country: UK Rate: £500/day inside IR-35
- Payments Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the payments industry (mainly closed loop cards), including payment methods, payment processing systems, regulations (such as PSD2), and emerging trends related to Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).
- SCA Regulations: In-depth knowledge of Strong Customer Authentication requirements under PSD2 and other relevant regulatory frameworks, including exemptions, authentication methods, and compliance obligations.
- Business Analysis: Strong business analysis skills to gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to SCA implementation, including user stories, use cases, data flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to understand technical specifications, APIs, and integration points relevant to payment systems and SCA compliance, collaborating closely with developers and technical teams.
- Risk Assessment: Experience in conducting risk assessments related to payment transactions, identifying potential fraud risks, and evaluating risk mitigation strategies in the context of SCA implementation.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in analysing payment transaction data, customer behaviour patterns, and authentication metrics to derive insights and make data-driven decisions for optimizing Payments strategies.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, impact assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, compliance officers, and external partners/vendors involved in SCA projects.
- Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to the payments industry, including GDPR, PCI DSS, and other data protection and security standards applicable to SCA initiatives.
- Regulatory Liaison: Capability to interface with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and compliance experts to stay informed about security standards, seek guidance on compliance matters, and advocate for the company's interests.
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas Sector (especially cards business)
- E-2-e fueling flows ie, supply -> customer consumption/transaction.
- Ability to lead discovery phase working with senior stakeholders
- Expert knowledge and application of the right BA techniques ie, MOST Analysis, Business Process Modelling (BPM), Use Case Modelling, Brainstorming, Non-functional Requirement Analysis, Requirement Analysis
- Able to act as Advisor and hands-on expert in creating Backlogs ie, Epics, Features, User Stories etc.
